City of Yarra
Everyone deserves access to the benefits of electrification including saving on energy bills, improving property value, reducing emissions and healthier indoor air quality.
While there are a number of resources and programs out there to help standalone houses, apartment building electrification is different as there is no single template for every building. Some buildings should start with shared hot water. Others should begin with solar sharing, common-area solar, switchboard upgrades or EV charging infrastructure.
Yarra Council has partnered with All Electric Homes to pilot a program to help 12 eligible Yarra apartment buildings electrify – to see what’s possible, what should come first and how your Owners Corporation can move forward with confidence. Selected buildings can receive an on-site assessment and feasibility report worth up to $1500 which provides practical, whole-of-building plans for shared services, common area loads, private apartment loads, roof space analysis, metering and switchboard capacity and the Owners Corporation approval pathway.
